Welcome to Day 1b of the 2016 WSOPC Caribbean Main Event
In half an hour from now, at 6 p.m. local time, Day 1b of the $1,675 World Series of Poker Circuit Main Event kicks off at the Casino Royale on Sint Maarten. The event comes with a guarantee of $250,000 and yesterday’s first flight with 93 entries put the tournament on track to even eclipse that amount. Only 40 players bagged up and Luca Giovannone bagged up massive 235,500, more than second and third combined.
A $250 Super Satellite kicked off at 4 p.m. local time and 40 entries generated four entries as well as $1,200 for the fifth place finisher. There will also be a $250 Turbo Satellite as of 6 p.m. for those that want to take a chance at securing a ticket the last minute.
The registration will remain open until the first card of Day 2 is dealt on Monday at 3.30 p.m. local time and only then the prize pool information will be finalized. Plenty of locals and other familiar faces of the festival thus far are expected to join the table such as Jason Rivkin, William Hicks and also two-time ring winner Martin Ryan.
All players receive 20,000 in chips and 11 levels of 40 minutes each will be played, one re-entry is available for the entire duration of the day.
