Queiroz Enters Level Six on a High – Chatzikamaris Eliminated
$1,150 TKPT Main Event Day 1a 8/11
Level 6: 150-300 / Ante 25
Stephane Genet eventually called the river bet worth 2,200 by Julien Bonnel with the board reading 10s3d2s6dAc and Bonnel tapped the table in defeat along with “good call.” Bonnel then flashed Qs5s for a busted straight and flush draw, while a delighted Genet tabled Kh10c to get back up to 23,000. Bonnel remained at around 39,000 and is still second biggest stack almost on par with Arman Bosnakyan.
Then, the six-way limped flop of 10d7s6s saw Carlos Queiroz bet 1,200 from the cutoff and just Aldo Sanfilippo called in the big blind. Sanfilippo check-called further bets worth 2,200 on the 4h turn and 5,000 on the Kh river. Queiroz turned over 6d6c for a set and Sanfilippo mucked. The Italian has around 12,200 remaining, while Queiroz moved to 35,000.
Soon after, Anastasios Chatzikamaris was spotted leaving his seat in disgust. The Greek had raised to 1,500 from under the gun and Arman Bosnakyan defended his big blind to see a flop of Ax 7x 6x. Bosnakyan checked and called the shove of Chatzikamaris for 6,200 with AsJs for top pair. Chatzikamaris had ace-king for the better kicker, but a jack appeared on the turn to eliminate the Greek.
Bosnakyan now plays approximately 45,000. “Maybe today is my day of suckouts, I deserve some after yesterday,” Bosnakyan added after running rather bad in the Pot-Limit Omaha Event.
