Lech Busts; Mahaffey Doubles
$1,675 NLHE Event #25 Day 2 26/224
Level 18: 2,500-5,000 / Ante 500
The action folded around to Michael Lech and he open-shoved the small blind for around 55,000. Myriam Mehnana eventually called from the big blind and the cards were tabled.
Lech: Qs 9s
Mehnana: Ks 10h
The flop of Ac 5s 3s gave Lech a flush draw, but neither the 5h turn nor Kc on the river improved the Six-handed champion and he exited in 27th place.
Cynthia Mahaffey was at risk at the same time with 2s 2d and Mohammed El Mazouni looked her up with Ac 5h. The flop of 7d 5s 3s improved the Dutchman to a pair of fives, and while nothing changed with the 9s turn, the 2h on the river kept Mahaffey in and she has around 55,000 now. El Mazouni still got very healthy 290,000, though.
