Bosnakyan Gets Flushed

$1,150 TKPT Main Event Day 1a 5/11

Level 11: 500-1,000 / Ante 100

Carlos Queiroz was spotted jumping out of his chair in disgust and taking a quick break, but the Portuguese soon came back to a stack of around 38,000. The next hand would be far bigger though, and it took almost all chips off Arman Bosnakyan.

On the AdQc6hKd turn, Julien Bonnel bet 1,600 in the small blind and Daivy Ramssany called from under the gun. Arman Bosnakyan then raised to 6,600 and just Bonnel called. The Jd fell on the river and Bonnel bet 31,000, which represented most of Bosnakyan’s stack.

“Wow. That’s the single worst card in the deck,” the Canadian sighed. He talked through all possible hands and took about a minute before calling. Bonnel turned over Qd4d and Bosnakyan mucked Js10s for the straight. “I don’t know how you do you,” Bosnakyan said to his opponent and Bonnel replied in French “me neither.”

That hand rocketed Bonnel’s stack to around 130,000, while Bosnakyan was left with dust or approximately 10 big blinds.
