Albert Lunenborg Eliminated in 9th Place ($2,500)

$1,150 TKPT Main Event Day 2 8/84

Level 18: 2,500-5,000 / Ante 500

In the very first hand of the unofficial final table, Mohan “Ronny” Karran raised from middle position and short stack Albert Lunenborg moved all in from the cutoff for what looked like 50,000. Karran called and the cards were turned over.

Albert Lunenborg: AcKh

Mohan Karran: Ah7h

The flop came 6d4h2h and Lunenborg said to the dealer “don’t do it,” before the 8h on the turn left the Dutchman drawing dead. This made the Qs river a formality and the official final table for tomorrow stands. Lunenborg, who started the day with just six big blinds and doubled up eight times in total, had to settle for 9th place and a payday of $2,500.

The eight finalists have $3,000 locked up for their efforts and will return to Casino Royale at 4 p.m. local time on Saturday in order to determine a winner.
